Nordisk Bergteknik acquires TSB Borrentreprenad – strengthens the offer in drilling
Nordisk Bergteknik has entered into an agreement regarding the acquisition of all shares in TSB Borrentreprenad AB (“TSB”), an established player within drilling. Through the acquisition Nordisk Bergteknik strengthen its offer within various types of drilling.
TSB was founded in 1992 and had sales of approximately SEK 49 million in 2021. The company has around 25 employees and provides services in directional drilling, hammer drilling and core drilling. TSB's customers are in the infrastructure sector, the mining and wind power industry, as well as among energy and real estate companies. The business is based in Sollefteå and operates primarily in Norrland but undertakes assignments throughout Sweden.
“Through the acquisition of TSB, we further strengthen and broaden our offer and continue to be active in the ongoing consolidation of the industry. We have worked together with the company for several years, know them well, and see several synergies between our existing companies and TSB. The acquisition provides the group with knowledge in directional drilling and increases the group's expertise and resources in drilling in general. At the same time, we are further strengthening our geographic presence in Norrland, which is obviously positive as it is a region where demand is expected to be high in the coming years”, says Andreas Christoffersson, CEO of Nordisk Bergteknik.
The purchase price amounts to SEK 14,7 million with a possible purchase price consideration of maximum SEK 4 million which may be added depending on the financial performance. Parts of the purchase price will be reinvested in Nordisk Bergteknik AB in the form of shares, whereby the current owner becomes a long-term owner in Nordisk Bergteknik AB. The acquisition will be reported in the Rock Sweden segment and is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2022.
